fluorescent fall

Fall and winter clothings tend to get darker toned.  I wanted to add some colors to my fall-winter wardrobes and bought a bright, optic yellow sweater!

The brand is by "I am I."  I guess they have stores in Laforet in Harajuku, Lumine in Yokohama, and some online stores like Zozotown.

What I liked about the sweater is, as you can see, the holes and rips.

Some holes look like a smiley face.

The smiley rip of my sweater said, Happy Halloween!

Dark and Beautiful imageries

I'm planning to go to an ehibition by Takato Yamamoto, a Japanese artist tomorrow  http://mariacuore.com/exhibition-B.html

I won't be able to take pictures in the gallery, but I will post some photos of his art works published in an underground art magazine, called Yaso.

alexander mcQueen

Tokyo's skipped the autumn and getting wintery.  I've taken out a thick, knit outer by the late Alexander McQueen's, which I bought a couple years ago while the genius was still alive....  It is really nice and warm.

It's quite bulky looking with a little military taste.  The buttons are cool, too, though I couldn't get good pictures of them.

This knit is made with 50 % sheep's wool and the other 50 by yak's wool.  I didn't know what yak was, so I looked it up and found out that they are hairy animals living around the cold Himalayan region.

They can get fluffy like the picture below.

No wonder this knit outer is warm!  I all of a sudden felt so familiar to yak, maybe cos I wear their fur.

Going back to the subject about Alexander McQueen, I was lucky enough to be able to possess some of his creations, especially the famous skull-printed items.

I like these skulls cos they have different faces, not all uniform.  I've heard that nowadays these scarves are hard to get.

I wish I'd bought the turtle-like suitcase that he had collaborated with Samsonite several years ago.

May his disturbed soul rest in peace.
