autumn festival, kind of

Went out to Aomori Fair, an event to promote Aomori prefecture, a prefecture located farthest north part of mainland Japan.  There, they have festival every August with huge floats made with Japanese paper.

These floats parade during the festival in Aomori, but in the fair in Tokyo, they were just exhibited.  But they still were amazing.  One of them was tall enough to be higher than my apartment, which is five-stories high.

Beautiful and breathtaking.

Even a mask like this:

It was held in Meiji shrine, and the entrance of the shrine was also lit by paper lanterns.

I was out with my new shirt.

I wore an outer by Tricot Comme de Garcon.

This is 100% wool but has a mohair feel--very soft and fluffy.
